Digital Design & Imaging Service Inc.
|
Floatograph is probably the only firm in the world that truely understands and can readily supply the specialized equipment essential for aerostat-based, low altitude photography. Since 9-11 this specialized field is becoming increasingly vital for the surveillance of our nation's vulnerable facilities. Frank has found or hand built several of our light weight, low power camera triggering devices. This equipment and our connection to him and indirectly to his suppliers are essential to my 3d imaging business. He has an excellent overview of emerging products that increase the value of Floatograph's core SkyDoc balloon product. Digital Design & Imaging Service Inc. Falls Church, VA

"Frank,
Both Peter and myself would like to thank you for the excellent service that we have recieved from both you and your company.
It has been a pleasure dealing with you and even though you are in the States and we are in NZ, it doesn't seem to have affected the service you have given to us. You have always answered our e-mails promptly, answered all our questions and helped us to set our balloon up in NZ! We needed another cable which you not only had delivered to our door but you did it at no charge. For all these things we thank you and wish both you and your company the best of success in the future. You will certainly continue to have our business!!!

Dear Frank,
I don't know if you will remember, but way back in 1992, I was a
professor at Ripon College, Wisoncin, and I asked you if your company could
offer us a discount on a Floatograph balloon system. You very kindly gave us
a system. This was for research at an archaeological site in Costa Rica.
Although I haven't been in contact for some time, I write to you now
to tell you that your balloon system was great. It was extremely useful not
only in giving us beautiful pictures of our site but also in providing
photographs as analytical toola to study our excavations.
I am now in the final stages of writing a book on our archaeological
project at the Rivas site, Costa Rica, and I have a publisher interested in
it. I just wanted you to know that Floatograph will get a sincere "thanks"
in the acknowledgments section of the book. Floatograph also is featured in
part of a chapter in which I describe the launching of the balloon system,
and there is a photograph of the balloon being gotten ready to launch as
well as aerial photographs taken from the system, itself.
I just wanted you to know that I have not forgotten to give you
some publicity in thanks for your support. I have photos (scanned and
digitized) of some of our better shots that I can send you if you want to
use them for your own advertising and such. I also will send you a
complimentary copy of the book when it is published. As publication may take
more than a year, I also could send you a copy of the final manuscript, with
illustrations, sooner, if you are interested.
Thanks once again for all of your past support. By the way, just
like one of your balloons, I have gone up in the world. I am no longer at
Ripon College. I am now Director of Pre-Columbian Studies at Dumbarton Oaks
in Washington, D.C.
Best Regards,

Hi Frank,
The new receiver, plus spare transmitter/receiver have arrived. We tested
the system at a 1 mile range and received good live video feed, plus we
were able to snap still pictures at that range using the other transmitter.
Given our previous successful balloon tests on Friday, then the entire
system is working.
Thanks very much for your prompt service. We will contact you after the
cruise to return the spare transmitter/receiver, and let you know how
things went.
Best,
Barney Balch

Dear Frank,
We pulled the SkyDoc balloon with a vehicle yesterday. It was wonderful!
The height was 40 m', the speed was 50 km/h and the wind was 30 km/h, 90 deg to the balloon.
Attached a photo (we took it from analog video tape so the resolution is low). I'm making a CD for you.
We introduced the balloon to several clients they are very interested to check the possibility to work with it.
