Floatograph Technologies Introduces New Demonstration Model Containing State-of-the-Art Alternative Energy Sources
Hybrid Energy Power Trailer Offers On-Board Energy Alternatives
Silver Spring, MD, February 1, 2011: Floatograph Technologies®, premier manufacturer of high quality, telescoping masts and trailers for military, homeland security, law enforcement and telecommunications applications, has responded to its customer’s growing need for alternative energy sources by deploying its new Hybrid Energy demonstration mast and trailer system.
Floatograph’s new demonstration trailer has been uniquely designed and constructed to showcase a range of alternative fuel offerings as well as a number of onboard power generation and equipment storage options, including:
- 540 watt solar panels
- A 600 watt wind turbine
- A 4kW diesel powered D.C. generator which utilizes 1/3rd less fuel than traditional A/C generators
System power is provided by a large bank of AGM batteries which is also replenished as needed from the solar and wind power generation systems. The D/C genset is onboard for the purpose of recharging the batteries in circumstances where solar and wind power may be insufficient. Floatograph’s Hybrid Energy Power System is mounted on the company’s rugged TXE Series of Tactical Trailers, along with a 30U climate controlled computer rack enclosure. The TXE trailer has a compact 6' x 8' footprint, and can easily be towed by military or commercial vehicles.
