| Compare the SkyDoc Balloon with a Blimp (same net lift). |
| This comparision is based on a SkyDoc Balloon that has been trimmed at +4 degrees of attack angle, and no payload. Changes in the attack angle and payload will vary the height the SkyDoc Balloon will settle at in wind conditions. Varying the attack angle from +4 to -8 degrees, changes in wind speed, and amount of payload can vary the angle of the tethered SkyDoc from 90 Degrees to 20 Degrees. Greatest stability with lift, is generally found by trimming the balloon to a -4 degrees attack angle. |

This Helium platform balloon is designed to meet criteria that has been requested by many operators of aerial specialised equipment. This balloon has been developed through intense research of fabrics, materials and designs that are tuned to the needs of these users. The balloon is designed with state of the art components that offer optimum performance and reliability.
The single-ply balloon is made from a single-ply material consisting of urethane.
The 2 ply balloon is made with a nylon shell and utilizes a urethane bladder for holding the Helium.
The tether apex is fabricated for attaching photo equipment and and other platforms. Special Mounting Patches for belly of balloon available.
A large area can be painted with your logo or sign on 2 ply balloon. Unlike a blimp, the message is seen 340+ degrees from the ground.
The balloon is stabilized better than a blimp and is designed for ease of assembly and set up.
If you do not have a leak, it will not need much additional helium (Temperature variations will expand and contract the helium. The single ply balloon will expand and contract with the pressure.) Average loss per day is 1 percent. If it is punctured, it can be repaired.
The 2 ply balloon has an pressure release valve that will open with increased temperature. If there is major damage to the balloon, an inexpensive replacement bladder will facilitate the repair. Average loss is dependent on temperature swings.
The balloon design allows for extreme lift with increased wind speed.

RECOVERY
Recovery is not normally required until the operation has been completed.
Recovery is quick and easy. The
compacted balloon is then ready to re-pack into the container for
storage until
the next deployment.

Perfect for the SkyHawke System.

The special design of the SKY-DOC™ balloon allows for increased lift with increased winds. Thereby the system stays in the sky in Hurricane Force Winds. Since it can stay aloft, no special enclosure is required for the system during heavy winds. Once it has been launched, the system will operate until the task is completed. Because of its special Patented design, the amount of Helium required is keep to a minimum.
Due to the bow of the tether line in high flying configerations, a maximum of 5,000 feet of tether line is recommended.
Single Ply Balloon is not recommended for areas that may have flying ice particles.
